Kale Chips for a snack-on-the-go

Being creatures of habit we all tend to eat our favorite foods over and over again-with that said, there can be too much of a good thing.  When we eat the same foods, our body gets the same nutrients, over and over.  In time, we can develop food sensitivities or even food intolerances. As summer approaches, chose a vegetable you have never eaten or not eaten in a while- and ones that are in season, local, and organic.  To add to that veggie, also switch up your grains — choosing quinoa, amaranth, kamut or millet. All of these grains have extraordinary healing benefits.  Each food source has different nutrients that our bodies need to function and heal.  By switching it up, we ensure we get the minerals and vitamins change we need, to keep our bodies at optimal health. For a quick snack for on-the- go (and easy to make) I suggest Kale Chips. All you need is a bunch organic kale, organic olive oil, and some all natural sea salt (add chopped garlic, for those who like garlic). Turn the oven to 350, chop the kale into bite size pieces, drizzle with some olive oil, and season with salt and chopped garlic. Bake until the edges turn light brown (make sure not to over bake).Cooking time is approx. 10-15 minutes.  These healthy tasty snacks are a must have for anyone who can’t escape the conventional chip, or cheesie desire. They are also a fantastic snack for your toddler or kids.
